When children are smaller it is usually pretty easy to get them to smile with silly noises or peek a boo... but as they get older they get a little bit more challenging at times.
Here are 3 ways I get children to smile... even my own.
1. I tell them "Don't Smile", I say it over and over is usually in weird voices.
2. Often children find words like Fart, Burp, anything along those lines funny... So I say those randomly and it will get a little smirk from them.
3. If those don't work BRIBE them... yep I am not above bribery, I try and bring little treats in my bag for the kids or for my own Frozen Yogurt is on the way home.
One of the best ways to get true laughter and expressions from your child is to capture them doing what they love! Some of my favorites are capturing them dancing, running, playing hide and seek and of course jumping on the bed.
But to be honest, I really enjoy capturing children's natural expressions. Watching them play with some blocks, color, anything that they enjoy doing that captures their interest and keeps them still. You can get some beautiful detail images during these times.
